The service

CIPP Spot and Point Repair, explained.

Not every sewer problem runs the length of the pipe. Sometimes the camera shows one cracked section, one bad joint or a single hole while the rest of the line looks sound. A spot or point repair uses a short patch liner, positioned over the damage and pressed against the pipe wall until it cures.

This is the right-sized fix for isolated damage. It costs less time on site than lining the whole run, and it keeps the original pipe in service everywhere it is still healthy. The honest part of the job is the camera: we only recommend a patch when the rest of the pipe really is in good shape, because a patch cannot protect sections it does not cover.

Signs this service fits

  • A camera shows one cracked or broken section
  • A single joint leaks or lets roots in
  • The rest of the line looks sound
  • You want a limited repair now and a plan for later
Is it right for your pipe?

A good fit, and what to know.

We would rather you hear the limits from us than discover them later.

A good fit when

  • A single isolated crack, hole or joint problem
  • Pipes that are otherwise round and sound
  • A staged approach where a limited repair buys time to plan

Worth knowing

  • If damage is widespread, patches add up and full-length lining is usually the better value of time and effort
  • A patch cannot correct a belly, a collapse or a badly offset joint

How it runs

From first look to finished pipe.

A clear sequence for every job.

  1. 01

    Find the damage

A camera inspection pinpoints the defect and shows the condition of the pipe on both sides.

  2. 02

    Clean the spot

The area is cleaned so the patch can bond to a clean wall.

  3. 03

    Position the patch

A resin-saturated patch on a packer is moved to the damage and inflated against the wall.

  4. 04

    Cure and check

The patch cures in place, the packer is removed and a camera confirms the repair.

Questions

Spot and Point Repair FAQ.

How long is a patch?

Patch lengths vary with the product and the damage. We choose one that covers the defect with sound pipe on each side.

What if there are more defects later?

A spot repair treats only what it covers. If the camera shows many defects, full-length lining usually makes more sense.

Can a patch fix roots?

It can seal the joint roots use, after the roots are cut out. Whether it is enough depends on how many joints are open along the line.
