The idea

Repair the pipe where it is.

Most sewer and drain pipe is buried under the things we care about: lawns, trees, drives, patios, floors. For generations the only way to repair it was to dig it up. Trenchless methods work from the inside, or from two small pits, so the surface stays where it is.

The best-known method is CIPP: a resin-soaked liner is cured inside the old pipe to form a new pipe. Others replace the pipe entirely, by pulling a new one in as the old one is broken up, or by boring a new path. A camera inspection tells you which one fits.

Trenchless is not magic. A collapsed pipe, a serious sag or a failed fitting can still need digging. We will tell you so, and keep the dig as small as the site allows.

How much digging?

Three dig levels.

Every service carries a badge showing how much digging it usually involves.

No dig

Works from existing access

The pipe is reached through a cleanout, a manhole or another opening that already exists. Lawns, drives and floors stay put.

Small access pit

One or two small pits

One or two small, neat pits at the ends of the run. Everything between them stays as it was.

Targeted dig

A short, planned excavation

A short, planned excavation at the spot that failed. We keep it as small as the pipe and the site allow.
